I'm tired of the way the flowmasters sound so now I'm upgrading. Now my question is what would be the best bang for my buck.
They are for a 95 5.0, and I want a real deep tone that brings out the sound of the pushrod motor. I need something reasonably priced and as loud as possible.

theres a set of magnaflows for sale in the classified section. Or you can look at youtube to find the best combo you like. Theres more than just mufflers that make a nice sounding car.

Agreed.... different heads the way they flow Longtubes, shorty's X and H pipes cats and no cats and so on. I myself will have a set of longtubes that should be arriving any day. I am going to mate them up with my Bassani BX mufflers and a Catted X. On the motor side i will probably have a set of ported GT40's with maybe a Eddy or GT40 Upper and lower and a simple cam. It should make for a fun little ride and sound pretty damn good too.

Thanks man! Those are my Magnaflows for sale. I had them on my Bullitt with a catted-x pipe and they sounded sick! Not too loud at idle and tame when cruising, but the sound when I got on it was amazing! I can't imagine how nice it would be with an offroad x-pipe!

I loved the sound so much that when I needed to get different muffler to work with my IRS, I got the exact same ones just with inlet and outlet placed differently.

Here's a stockish '95 with Magnaflows:

Here's a slightly modded fox with Magnaflows:

And here's my Bullitt with Magnaflows and a catted x-pipe (excuse the rev limiter, I got excited):

PM me if your interested.

When i had mine in GA. Mine passed with FLYING colors. It barely registered on the meters. If you have a healthy engine you should be fine.

Live in a state that doesn't have emissions.
