i put 2 different pypes setups on my best friends 98 gt

the first time around we did the orx and violator catback, it sounded really good.. medium rasp.. nice rolled tips. fitment was good, EXCEPT when i put the dd bullits on there i had to heat up and move the right side, it made contact with the tire. (315/35/17)

the second time i used the longtubes they make, with a off road hpipe and we just cut the overaxles and dumped it, man that really woke it up, and the sound is one of a kind. their headers are almost identical to bbk/mac designs and have been flawless on his car for about a year now, fitment was perfect and this is a auto car also.

hope this helps.

The cat back will fit but the hangers will need to be repositioned so it will work with your 96 GT

Get longtubes. I love my bbk longtubes. And if you eventually intend to go with longtubes then just do it now. That way you wont need to get a whole new midpipe.
