Wow, this car is loud like you said it would be. I didn't get the turn downs.. I just cut the tail pipes off and its exiting at the end of the muffler. (low on money) I might do turn downs soon. I set off 1 alarm for the 1st time since i owned this car while just cruising down the street.

Sounds like a fun exhaust to me. My slp's once set off 3 car alarms at once in a parking garage.
What setup are you currently running?

This is beyond loud.. its obnoxious. Going to try turn downs next week. Sounds tits, but these spintechs are ear piercing with no tail pipes lol.

You may think were not talking huge difference but, your rear axle is also getting hotter with exhaust blowing at it. I know not to touch a rear differential with exhaust pointing at it after a 5 mile drive now. Turndowns will decrease volume, reduce exhaust entering car, and reduce heating the tank and rear.

Now im worried. I drive this car in rain.. alittle salt and snow. Now it just seems so easy for water/ salt to collect inside my muffler and rust them out.

Also, is it okay for the gas tank when the exhaust to exiting right @ the muffler with no turn down.

and my head hurts alittle bit from the noise??? .. maybe its because i haven't ate since 11am lol well i hope!!
my dad's cobra has long tubes with open flowcrappers and has never had a problem with it. Not sure about it heating up the gear oil in the rear end though.

ill never do dumps on anything again lol, way to annoying and rattles everything.

plus it throws dust up on your car and such... like you said too annoying for me! plus IMO tails look cleaner and better if done right, not those cheap ones where you see the weld marks or the clamps, i made sure my tails were chrome going over the axles ;)

I hate those , or the ones where the last 4in of the pipes are 3.5in and you can see where it transitions from 2.5 to 3.5

This 5.0 sounds amazing now. Im in love with my exhaust for the 1st time. The gas tank does get warm but not hot hot.
Im perfectly happy with the exhaust how it is. Sounds so bad ass and gets so many looks now.

Would turn downs decrease volume alot alot. I dont want it to change at all lol.

Considering it's only a 5ish inch pipe.. I don't think it would change it that much. Haven't put mine on yet though, so I don't know.

well, you guys kinda have me stumped,I have been looking at 3.5 inch tips because i dont like my 2.5 inch...but you guys say they look bad going from 2.5 to 3.5..

am I forced to either live with the 2.5 or live with having the hated "weld or pin" ?

I'm on the broke side of broke and cant afford to go to a whole new catback.

2.5" tips are too small imo, i think Mac tailpipes are some of the best looking. I liked the look of the full length Bassani 3" tailpipes I had too but want 3.5" this time around.

If i were to run tailpipes again, i'd definitely go with Mac's. They look great!
