Exhaust sounds?

No idea where to put this! My buddy owned a 99 GT, 4 rides ago. It sounded pretty awesome! Only words I seen that kinda made sense was 'hollow'. I got my 5.0 to sound as good as I can get it. Doesn't even come close to that sound, though. I am maybe looking into another new to me car. Just wonder if 96-98's would have that sound? That will factor in to what I want. Thanks!!

Yeah, & to type that coming from a not normal functioning brain, sucks more!! Why I typed hollow & hoped you might know what that means. To this day, I still have no f'ing idea what drone sounds like!!

hollow kinda makes sense but idt we're on the same page on what that sound is.
my buddys 87(?) camaro sounds hollow to me, never heard a Mustang make a sound even close to that.

Hollow is the exact term I use to describe flowmasters on a 4.6 with a O/R midpipe

I also dont like that sound at all which is why I went with Magnapacks

all Flows sound the same to me, Borla or magnaflow on 4.6L is awesome! Heck, My friend has a roush axleback on his 3v 4.6L and it sounds nice. Modulars have a much more "exotic" tone to me, which is why if I was to get a mod engine, I would x-pipe it with borla or magnaflow. 5.0Ls sound older and more like the old school muscle cars, thus, I keep an o/r H with magnaflow, flowmasters would work too. Just my .02 though. I hate resonator styled mufflers(magnapacks, SLPs), they just sound loud, Chambered mufflers give tone and I love that

If you want that sound, But want it loud, Get 1 or 2 chamber Flow Masters, or Forza Flows, I have the 2 chamber Forza's and it sounds like a beast!

I just thought I might be getting a 4.6? I have on my 95, IMCO racing 1 chambered mufflers, no cats, with it dumped. It sounds pretty awesome! I love it!! I was just thinking out loud.
