explorer intake

can someone please give me a run down on the explorer intake fitting my 94 mustang gt, i have seen many cars with this intake and need help on this decision.

you will need an adaptor elbow but otherwise its a pretty basic bolt-on. Supposed to open it up in the upper rpms but I didn't notice anything when I put my cobra intake on.

thanks no need to drill tap or any thing else. will any explorer intake fit, it seem like this series of mustang are the black sheep

Plug up all the vac lines that you don't use..get the elbow. Only the fox bodies need to tap the #5 runner for the iat sensor.. Can't think of anything else..

I have also been told the actual cobra intake flows better then the explorer as well as does not need an elbow.

i cant find a cheap cobra intake
i can pickup a explorer lower and upper for cheap

i port the explorer upper and lower and make it outflow a cobra....would only take a few hours of porting and would be well worth it..under 10 bucks too !

I ported my cobra's upper/lower as well. It is easy to gasket-match it and I don't know why anyone would not spend some time on it prior to installing one.
