I just came from a local bone yard and scored an explorer intake,tb, and 24lb injectors all for $43!!!! :headbang: I left the elbow since it looked like it would'nt fit the SN95 EGR correctly. One thing I noticed was that the tb looked a bit different than mine. My question is will the explorer tb bolt-on directly or should I have taken the elbow and try to fit it or should I get rid of the explorer throttle body, keep the stock and get an adapter???? :dontknow: The only reason i picked it up because I knew it was 65mm and I'm on a tight budget.

TB will only work on a fox and has to be modified to work on them , sell it to someone that has a foxbody for 10 bucks , why did you get the heads while you were at it , the 24lbs injectors you got ? what did they come off of ? I hope not the explorer because if so you just bought another set of 19s

Explorer was a god for bidden Cash for clunkers victim so heads and block was not salvageable nor could they sell them. Injectors came off of an F250 EFI.

Buy an elbow. It will end up costing you more than the cost of an elbow to convert to a fox setup, and even then the explorer tb is not a direct bolt on without modifications to it. The stock throttle body is not a restriction until you add heads.

In the middle of a complete rebuild. Doing the H/C/I swap along with rear end. That's kinda the reason why I wanted the tb but oh well. I'll probably get a 70mm from summit after everything is running.

I am currently in the middle of adapting the Exploder TB onto my '94. Everything fits perfect (IAC & TPS). But the throttle cable bracket is completely different. I am having to modify the cable bracket in order to work. I should hopefully have this done tonight. I will try to keep everyone informed.

I can make the stock TB off an explorer fit on a fox body by switching out the shaft for a stock 5.0 TB. You will have to use the explorer TB blade and mark on the 5.0 shaft and know how much to grind and then slid the stock 5.0 shaft in the exporer TB and then install the blade back in the TB. Then it will bolt right onto a 5.0 and the stock throttle cable will fit.

The explorer elbow and the SN elbow is way to different. You could make it fit but I would just buy one and use it. A lot less headaches. +

i used the exp T/B myself...what i did was i didn't use any elbows just bolted it to the manifold...for the t/b what i did was i cut the t/b bracket attached to the shaft of my stock t/b then cut the explorer t/b shaft with a hacksaw. then swapped t/b ears and rewelded it locally for liek 10bucks and voila done for the tps i went to a local pick and pull and took a tps from an early crown vic or lincold with the 5.0. they all work with the same voltage range and this unit is like 50% smaller than the sn95 unit. i bolted it on drilled the holes a little wider to properly adjust voltage to 0.98 and done. you just got a 65mm unit for less than 20bucks...and if anything you can even bolt it on to a bigger manifold like an edelbrock if you find it for cheap. good day.
