I recently picked up a set of horizontal export tails and got the harness with them but the portion of the export harness that goes to the fuel pump was cut to get it out easier I'm assuming. My question is would it be easiest to just cut the stock harness out leaving the stock fuel pump wiring and soldering the export harness onto the old part of the harness? Sorry if it's worded weird, tired.

I imagine if you looked up DIY harnesses for the 99 cobra lights the process would be 99% the same and pretty straightforward to modify a stock harness. Someone correct me if I am wrong please.

The thing with using that guide is I already have the export harness so I have no need to modify the existing one unless I want to. I just feel sketchy about cutting the fuel pump wiring since that's the only thing stopping me from installing the tails right now.

This is the harness, fuel pump part is that group of wires in the top right with no connector on it. It was cut to get it out of the car easier I'm assuming. I just have zero experience with wiring so figured I'd see if anybody had done it before.
