I had a 95 Bronco... 5.8L, every panel in it rattled, but loved it. I loved the FSB forums.

F150's are okay, ive never owned one tho... always had F250's. I have my HS truck, a 1976 F250, and my current truck F250 diesel.

97 F-1 V6 5 speed. Saving up some cash to re gear it, at 65 mph I can barely hear my engine in 4 gear. I'm thinking 4:56s ought to do the job.

Next vehicle i buy is gonna be an f250. The bigger the better for me. I am from Texas...so the plans are a One up off road 10-12 inch lift with a one up off road 10 inch drop hitch to tow my stang aroung. Sittin on 20 inch black Rockstars wrapped in 40 inch Nitto Mud Grapplers and with straight pipe exhaust. Pure sex IMO.

IMHO thats just tooooo much for me. I'm all for a little lift but Function > Form and I've never seen a truck with that sort of lift and 20" wheels do anything worth paying for all of it.

You have never been to Texas then. Lol. But you gotta remember too, Texas is Mud, Sand, and fields. Not made to be a trail truck. So the taller, the larger the wheels, the less you will get stuck. Plus the 10-12 inch lift is the smallest One up off road has. And the drop hitch they have is legit. It has a V-shape shock that bolts up to the frame to keep it from snapping. As for the 20 inch Rockstars, anything smaller just gets lost on 40 inch tires

my buddy just put rockstars on his dodge

I personally hate the looks of rockstars.. and I wouldn't go bigger than 17's. But then again, i'm old school with trucks. Form>Function everytime, a ten inch lift is way to freakin tall, can't pull a goose neck trailer with that and if you can't pull a goose neck then what the heck. Sorry, tirade over. I just hate all the spotless, lifted trucks roaming around town all night. Get the dang thing dirty for goodness sakes.

Aren't they sexy?
yea. i got to take them out of the box

Nice. You have coil overs or anything? Sick of seeing huge lifts and small tires around here. Love to see someone doing something different rather than a mall cruiser

No coilovers yet, just some Mckienze extended A-arms +4" on each side. I don't plan on doing C/Os anytime soon like I did with the ranger, I swear I went all out on that thing and drove it once around the block. I lost money on it but most important was all the time I threw at it. All I'm planning to do to the F-1 is gears, performance replacement shocks, a decent sound system, and some bucket seats, I found out my lady doesn't like being thrown around not only side to side but up and down on the stock bench seats LOL. Oh and it's got a 8.8 rear, though I'm still debating wether getting some 4:10s as I'm told work really well with the 33" tires
