Ford programs the computer and not the MAF. So you can put in the injectors, but you would need to get the ecm changed to compensate for them, or get a MAF that is tuned for those injector. Its generally a better idea to tune the ecm vs. getting a maf that is calibrated for the bigger injectors.

So even though the meter and injectors came from the same vehicle a lincoln mk Viii unsure of yeah my cousin thought it was a 200 but they quit making them in 98 that air meter will not work on my ecm? So the stock air meter is not programmed like the aftermarket ones are?

No maf just reads the cfm flow, ECM translates that into injector pulse, duty cycle, etc.

You can get a chip, or pick up some sort of piggyback, or get all crazy and run a standalone. I run a Moates Quarterhorse, its fairly reasonable as far as pricing goes and has quite a few features. What mods are you running to need the extra fuel?

Rite now it is bone stock even down to the smog pump but im just throwing togeather some junkyard crap to see if i can make some power i got a low miles explorer short block some real gt40 heads not the stupid p heads that im goin to do a little port work on trying to decide on a b or e cam i have both lined up used i got a set of 1.6 svo roller rockers non egr explorer intake im goin to do some porting on those lincoln 24# injectors and 80mm air meter also trying to decide on what size t body to use im thinking 70mm some long tube headers and a chopped up fox body catless x pipe im gonna put on there and probly some pullies... Im thinking about either a quarter horse or sct 4 stage deal from bama since they have free tunes for life... Would you do away with egr since im gonna go with a tuner anyway? What route would you go moates or bama?

Obviously I am biased since I use a quarterhorse. I am able to tune the car while it is running with my laptop and make data logs. The EGR is up to you, I deleted it myself and tuned it out, mainly for heat reduction purposes, running a PD blower comes at a cost and I did everything I could to keep intake air temps down. Not even sure if your combo needs the 24lb injectors, they may be a bit big for a GT40 combo.

If you are going to use a chip to tune, then the injector size doesn't really matter. The tuner will adjust the injector pulse width to maintain the correct AFR.

In addition to what has been mentioned, the connector is different. You can splice it though.

What mods do you have to need a bigger maf and injectors?
