So, i want to keep my dumps, but i hate t he no tail pipe look. Is it possible to add some SLP 3.5 inch tips onto my car without connecting it to my over axle dump system.

I wouldn't do it if I were you. I seen someone do that on a sn95 V6. Didn't look good. Why don't you just install tail pipes again and add some cut outs. That should be awesome.

that midpipe is for running open headers, not dumps.

your right I guess I needed to read his post. Then just used a set of cutouts after the mufflers and keep the tailpipes

Yea I have dumps now but also like the look of some nice tail pipes back there.. I was just going to put some cut outs on after the mufflers when I do it..

SLP rolled tips would be the only way I'd ever put tail pipes on my car. With no cutouts in the bumper for the tailpipes, they look stupid and out of place IMO. Keep the dumps!

I had a friend that had a v6 and he split his exhaust so he could have duel tail pipes. I thought it was sort of lame... IMHO... I think if you want tail pipes than have functional tail pipes... otherwise, wouldn't it be sort of dorky to have your car running and your tailpipes just dead bling....? :tard:

Its not lame to have tailpipes and cut outs.... There are lots of people that run them like that.. Open the cutout when you want to run dumps and close it when you want the soun of Tailpipes...

When I said cutouts, I was referring to actual half circle 'cut outs' in the back bumper to sort of "house" the tail pipes. Like 99+ cars. Looks goofy with the tailpipes just dangling under the rear bumper IMO. I'm a scrooge though

you could run the cutouts from in front of the mufflers to side exhaust. just for the people sitting on the cell phone at a traffic lights

the back end of these cars dont look right without tail pipes. it looks like its missing something. id just suck it up and put the tail pipes back on, or spent the cash on some cutouts, and place em after the mufflers.

so you want to spend $120 on new tips, just for the look. plus the money to make them sit there to do nothing.. wow

but if you want it to work, and be functional... you could put cutouts, facing downwards or somewhat angled downwards(i'd do this) after the muffler, then have the axle-back pipes and tips... then it looks like a real exhaust, and not some shitty rigged up crap, and you still have dumps..
