Definitely go for the Comp Orange Terminator. They are getting hard to find. Good luck with the sale!

awfully sad to see you get rid of that car jon, but if you want to, i'd say you could probably get close to 10k for it if you find the right person.

Yea...not many were made. I've caught wind of a low mileage one up my way with a KB...trying to figure out some more details.

Agreed...I've done everything right on this car, and it has a lot of rare/expensive/custom parts.

Based on the rest of the mods/engine work that I planned for this car...I'd be dropping probably another 10-15k in it, so I'd rather start with a clean cobra.

well i mean, someone's gonna look at this car and expect a mach 460 sound system, a stock 4.6 motor, and cloth/beat up leather seats. when they look at it they'll see a fully customized interior with fuggin italian leather inside, a pi swapped motor, and a double din radio (don't know if you have any speaker work done). the seats alone are likely to sell someone on your car vs the other one they find on craigslist.

Scent is the closest tie to memory...once people smell the italian leather, they'll never be able to forget about it :)
Seriously...it smells incredible.

Full stereo...infinity speakers, double din, sub/amp, etc...wired so you can play DVD's while you drive :)

Everything on the car has about 500 miles...wheels/tires/brakes/suspension/body work...interior was just done this past summer. I've probably sat in the seats maybe 5 times? Car is mint inside and out.

Only back and forth to a few shows/meets...I have a company car for work, so I drive my Fusion all the time. Stang just sits in the garage under a cover. Its seen more garage time than road time since I've owned it haha. It comes out on sunny days, and weekends when I feel like drinking beers and detailing it.

Only downside to the car is the odometer...but basically everything on this car has been changed, so the miles don't really matter to me.

I have that same mod done for the vid's lol. Damn tho Jon that thing is so badass I can't believe your sellin it. But hey every car has it's time, and when you get to the point where you've put tons of time, effort, and money into it you just get tired of it and want something new to tinker with. I myself was just in that situation with my daily!

I really really like your car man, one of the FEW white car's I like (go on haters, hate! Lol) so hopefully it will get the price your lookin for, and you can move on to a bigger and better Mustang. AKA: the Terminator! GLWS man and hope to see a new thread started soon with your new Terminator! :)

Thanks man...you hit the nail on the head. I get bored really fast...I've done so much to this car in such a short time, that I'm running out of things to do. I mean, theres always things to do...but I'm in a good financial position right now to move up to the illustrious 03/04 cobra.

Maybe I should just become a car builder...because I enjoy the build more than the result!

thats a good move! its deff a better investment in terms of what kind of money u can get back....always a good thing. i too am planning on the upgrade in the near future. as far as ur 98, i think u can sell it for 7k maybe more. however, i would put stock shit back in and sell your rare stuff online. those tail lights and mirrors wont bring the value up much compared to what u can get for them individually. in about a month or two, will be the perfect time to sell everything!

Keep in mind you are talking about New England winter prices right now, the only people shopping for Mustangs expect to get them for a steal

Jon, I was so looking forward to seeing you finish this build as you have done an incredible job on it so far. I also understand you looking to move up to a termi as I was contemplating the same move a year ago. You have two things going against you milage is one as a 170k 98 is gonna be something that people are going to consider a minus. The other, joekd touched on...winter in new england is gonna make it tough to sell for what you want. Unfortunately from what Ive seen out there your probably looking at 5-7k at this time of year. Now with that said your looking at pulling 10k + out of your pocket to get into a termi. At that point it might make sense to just do a termi swap into the 98, this way you get to enjoy the custom leather you just installed and now have the power of the termi your looking to step into. Either way you go keep us posted as I enjoy seeing what you come up with for either ride. Good luck with your decision hope it all pans out for you.

Ive been there.....I think you are 100% right and should get rid of that thing and start with a cobra.

I wish I would have trusted my gut and ditched my car for a 03/04 cobra before I put 10k into it, Im sure id still have the cobra.

Anyways, good luck with the sale...personally I think its going to be a hard sale to get anywhere near 10k...I understand you've got some rare parts in there but you would probably be better off selling the rare/expensive parts and go back to stock cause I highly doubt you're gonna find a buyer that is gonna pay for those things in a 15 year old mustang....its still a sn95 with 170k miles on it and a 2v motor.

The people interested in these cars are broke.....but maybe you will get lucky and find that one buyer looking for a clean, unique sn95.

Just speaking from experience, I couldnt get 10k for a fully built car, built trans, rear, built motor, full fuel system and a brand new turbo setup lol
