Since it's been forever since I've made a post of my own I suppose I'll post up some current pictures.
For those of you that don't know, this is what my car looked like three or four months ago.
(During an offroading experience. ;])
Well one really rainy slick day I was driving a local highway (Highway 16 between Siloam Springs and Fayetteville Arkansas for anyone who might know where it is) and took a turn too fast. The car spun out and went backwards down into a rather steep 8 foot deep ditch and then flipped up onto the driver's side. The car suffered a broken driver's side mirror, a dented fender and quarter panel. Along with losing two centercaps and having a few deep gouges in my rims on the driver's side. I had the car pulled out of the ditch and taken to a local shop where they were amazed to find that the only mechanical problem was that my power steering fluid had drained out when it was on it's side. Here are pictures of the damage sustained. (I wish I'd gotten some while it was in the ditch but I was too busy trying to get it flipped back over to stop and take any.)
I had repairs quoted and I decided to just leave the damage. The frame was already messed up and it just wasn't worth it to spend the money to have the car fixed again. After having the car on the road for about a week it was sideswiped by an older man merging from the suicide lane into my lane of traffic. He told his insurance company I hit him and after a long ordeal and finally receiving a police report stating otherwise his insurance company totalled out the 'stang and gave me $1800. Here are some pictures of that incident...
And now, finally, here are some current pictures :
I'm just going to repaint the car flat black... I bought a second set of ponies that will be painted gloss black. I'm going to keep the car and continue to modify it... the frame isn't really straight in the front end, but it's nothing that affects steering or performance. I may get it straightened one day... but for now I'm going to leave it. It'll be a costly procedure to do since it's the whole front end that's fucked, but I love the car enough that I may do it anyway.
Glad to be back posting again. Lol.
