I finally managed to get my supercoupe engine to my house this weekend... :dancing6: and yes Kids I come bearing PIX: :bunny3:

this is what I got
SuperCoupeEngine001.jpg

Rear shot
SuperCoupeEngine003.jpg

pullies and bracketry shot
SuperCoupeEngine006.jpg

Head shots (detailing the plug in them as I believe they have some work done to them)
SuperCoupeEngine005.jpg

SuperCoupeEngine004.jpg

and a blower shot w/the upper taken off so you can see the condition of the rotors
SuperCoupeEngine002.jpg

I do not claim to be a photographic genius but I will update w/more pix as I progress, I have started tearing down the engine but alas, I am at a stopping point due to the lack of proper sized torx bits for fuel rail removal and a longer socket extension (which I will hopefully have by this weekend so I can continue) :hammer:

She's no looker yet... but w/some blood sweat and tears and more than a little engine paint ;D She should be out of sight. The engine has sat for almost 2 years and comes from a standard trans supercoupe. I was told by the PO of the engine that it was a 94 as it came out of a 94 supercoupe... but after some discussion w/some folks over at v6power (V6_Sprout, and Road Hawg) it seems that I have an 89-93 motor. :nonono: Fine w/me just gives me an excuse to stroke it to a 4.2.. I have contacted Delk Performance about what I would like to see out of my engine and am awaiting their responce for the most cost effective (yeah right) way of reaching my goal. I figure I'll go w/the 4.2 crank, forged internals, well ported heads, a great cam, and maybe a bit of blower porting to reach my intended goal of 275-300 rwhp w/out the use of nitrous.. (which I have heard can be safely added in the form of a 75shot to the supercoupe engines) to push me upto and possibly just past the 300rwhp range. That will more than likely kill the 7.5 but hopefully w/judicious use of the gas pedal it will hold out till I can get an 8.8 and have it stuffed w/3.73's and what not. :eek:uttahere:

I also have a TON of extra parts that came w/the engine, I have a set of ported heads (flow numbers unknown they were gasket matched is all I know) Two extra supercoupe waterpumps and timing chain covers, I have a few inlet pipes, another blower (that needs rebuilt as the rotors hit inside and the coating is wearing off of them) an extra oil cooler, supercoupe radiator (the good one w/the brass end tanks) extra supercoupe fans, another block, chrome fuel rail (bare) and a couple of other misc. parts. I will gladly part w/what ever I don't need for a reasonable price plus shipping and paypal fees.. just drop me an email @[email protected] and I'll get you pics of what your interested in.

Now that this has become a book I'll let it go and get to wrenching.

Wish me luck boyo's for I may need it.. Ive a long road ahead of me, and w/the birth of my son just a few weeks away I fear this will take a bit longer than originally planned (planned on having it done by now... ) :pimp:

Son was born on Sept. 15, 7lbs 4oz, 18.5in long and just as healthy and beautiful pink as he can be. Its put off me finishing my teardown till this week but I am resuming the tear down today and plan to have it to nothing but a short block by tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully on thursday I can get a good look at the crank and pistons to see how bad the engine block has been abused. Still haven't heard from delk performance but I know those guys are busy as hell and plan to give matt@delk a pm to see if maybe my email just got misplaced. So basicly this is just a bump w/a slight bit of info for those interested.

Ok managed to get a bit done today, would have gotten more but I had a driver blow a headgasket, and had to go pick him up. Thus my time was short. Basicly I got it down to just the Heads, Lower Intake, Water Pump, Timing Chain Cover, Oil Cooler, and Internals. All that damn Bracketry was STUCK on like a mofo... :slap: Remember Kids... PENETRATING FLUID is your friend, weather it be WD40, Pene-Lube, Or Penetrator X, use it liberally. :thumb:

I will Attemp to get it down to just a block and internals on Thursday, but with my luck.. who knows what might pop up.

Now on with the pix:

One of my tabs was broke. But the other is intact and I can get you a decent pic of the bolt it goes on w/whats left of the second "arm" that mounts it to the block. I'll see if I can go get it now. Will edit w/update.

::Edit 4 pix::

The tube into the block

If you can see it how I see it in my minds eye the "arm" extends to the back of the exhaust that bolts to that port on the right bolt. A double nut if I remember correctly

The Farthest exhaust bolt in this pic from a slightly different angle

Best Closeup of the port in question. The "arm" bolts to the exhaust bolt hole upper right center in this pic

Hope this helps man.

Forget about me? NEVARRR!!!!!

True I no longer have the s95, it was sold for WAY more than I had in it at the time. For the longest time I couldn't log into this site, I'm not sure why as it told me I had the improper name/pw and that I should contact administration. Couldn't get the access to the administration email addy so I just kind of gave up. Then one day magicly I get an email about a topic of mine getting replied to and I can log in and everything. By this time I have a fox body mustang and as you guys are specificly for the s95's... well you can see where this is going.

I eventually finished my build, and was having it dyno tuned when a guy from up in washington state asked me if I'd be interested in selling it. I thought he was being a smart ass and replied in kind. I told him for 7500.00 he could have it. He asked me if I was going to be around for a while and I told him I'd be there for atleast another hour, since a couple of my friends and I had traveled to the dyno shop together. He told me he'd be back, I blew it off thinking that it takes all kinds in this world and didn't think anything else about it. The guy returned w/75 100.00 bills and asked if I was ready to sign the title. I did so w/out a second thought and couldn't believe the guy paid so much. I asked him why he was willing to pay so much for my car, he said it was for his son and He knew that if he bought a v6 his son wouldn't want it. With it being a supercharged v6 it wouldn't have too much power for his son and he'd still be able to have "safe fun" (hey its what the guy called it... not my words)

So I sold it, paid off some bills, and bought a 91 rs ttop camaro to tinker with. I put a bit of time and money into it and then traded it for the fox body I currently own. She's not a looker, but she runs pretty well for a speed density car. MAF conversion is high on my list of initial mods, but for right now she does what she needs to.

I am always on the look out for another s95 car. This time I'm looking for a 94-95 gt. I not saying I wouldn't take a NPI 4.6, but the pushrod gt's are my first choice.
