Posted this on a few other forums last month, finally got my login stuff fixed on here so i figured id show you guys too, since you all can appreciate this, alot of new edge/s197 people had no idea wtf they even were.
A little rambling first......Bought my 03/04 cobra mirrors early last year i think, because i never thought i would find a set of export mirrors, so i dealt with the ugly lip that hangs down on our cars, they still looked lightyears better than the nasty stock mirrors. Sometime before thanksgiving a guy emailed me saying he'd seen me looking for a set of export mirrors, and he had a contact in japan and could get me a set of mirrors for lower than the usual $700-$900 asking price when a set pops up for sale once in a blue moon. I said ok, and didnt hear from him for over a month, then he emailed me one day saying he had a set ready to ship from there, so i sent the money and a set of white/white mirrors showed up a few weeks later. For a little while i thought i was getting scammed, i was scared haha. I barely got to look at them before i dropped them off at the bodyshop and had them painted to mimic my 03/04 mirrors. On the v6 site i post on, i posted a thread with before/after pics, and i made them guess what my new mod was, took 4 pages before somebody noticed something looked different with my mirrors :laughing5: I have a set of export flares in my garage, but they are too ugly to ever come close to my car, i just like that i got a deal on them, and then i only have 5 or 6 more pieces until i have the entire export set! anyway, enough rambling, onto pics!
