whats this lip you speak of?

the new edge mirrors have a lip that hanges down over the door. it doesn't look real bad on the sn-95's, but it doesn't look like it belongs there either.
i've never looked real close at them to see if the lip could be cut off and smoothed to look like the export mirrors
