Save up for a blower... Don't waste your time on the small stuff.

Looks good man. I personally would make sure my braking and suspension were up to par then start adding power.

not really. most aftermarket kits are set up for stock motor applications. you should be able to pick up a used procharger kit around $2000 and get it tuned and get a lot of life out of it. the tune is everything, you can add exhaust, smaller pulley, pumps, injectors, mass air on top of the box kit and, properly tuned, not have any problems.

well dont they run on 8- 10psi?? and for a 96? are you sure

yeah, as long as your not running 12 psi at WOT every second your driving, then you will be fine. Save your money and concentrate on significant mods (n2o, turbo, s/c, h/c/i).

if you do a turbo it will be difficult, you will have to convert to cops like the 99/04s most likely..

with your swap you should look into nitrous. where in texas is your city? are you near the dfw area?

i did my swap about 3 or 4 months ago or so. and i love it. wait until you get full intake and full exhaust and gears. you'll love your car. or drive around with a boner 24/7 like me.

Personally I would prefer a turbo kit, but there is not one out there that fits these cars well, they all require some work. With the amount of cheap used centrifugal kits out there, I'd pick one up and run the pulley it came with, stock Lightning injectors and 90mm MAF, get a fuel pump, and then get it dyno'd. You shouldn't even need to think about modifying the engine internally (rods/pistons) until you're in the 325+ whp range.

depends on what head unit and what pulley, you'll be in the ballpark.
honestly, you don't need rods/pistons until more or less 400 wheel, but it's a good idea to stop pressing your luck and start saving your money early.
