Finished my valve covers - Pics

finished my valve covers tonight, it was a long process because the first set i recieved came broken, overall i think they came out great i cant wait to get them installed, hoping i can squeeze it in this week before the hull show. Was thinkin of callin mpe in the morning to put em on... anybody else kno somewere good? and fast..

vht flat red and silver stripes...

Looks good, I need to get my butt in gear and start painting my spare set

theres a few ways to get the stripes like that. easiest is paint the entire area to be striped that color first. ie paint the tops silver first. let it dry real good. then come back and paint the red over the top. as soon as you finish sparying the color, take a rag and wipe the ribs off and the silver will show.

primed then painted silver then taped off the stripes then painted red.. tape provides the cleanest lines so il always do that, even if its a bitch

How did you prep them? What kind of primer did you use? Can you take pics of the paints that you used also ? I wanted to do this to my extra set but with the wrinkle paint.

il post up steps and the paint later..... im on lunch break... i tried the wrinkle on a single cover i had as a test peice and it was a pain in the ass

Looks good. You did the same thing I did. Looks like you have windsor covers though. My lines go right down the back.
