Nice improvement! But it could be better. I'd use a high speed and a couple different compounds/waxes. Some of those scratches look to be pretty bad though.

Porter Cables are great, but I dont use them for heavy scratch removal. I use a high speed with a wool pad, foam, then foam again but with different stuff.. THEN porter cable it for finishing shine.

Seriously it would be extremely difficult to ruin your paint with a porter cable, if you had a aggressive pad, high speed, and passed out while cutting and happened to press against the PC while you blacked out then maybe....

Looks pretty good I think kinda makes me want to pick up a p/c and start doin my own car instead of paying someone to do it for me.

black is about 3x harder than white or colored paint. and takes about that much more time.

looks good, definately much better.
to get the rest you'll need to hit it with a more agressive polish, maybe a few times, then again with the fine.
agressive w/ a yellow pad, fine with an orange pad etc.

I would use different pads...but I just have the crappy orbital polisher...one speed thing...off brand.....a 10 inch hardware store one....works better than doing it by hand though

Look in the back where the Bondo and body work stuff is in most chain stores and you can usually find some more aggressive polishes and whatnot.

Hypothetically how would one go about getting those types of scratches out..would it be possible with store bought stuff?

you would probably need a rotary with a wool pad and M105 to get the heavier scratches out. i dont really know for sure, i have no experience with a rotary.
