So I have hit an issue with my build which is the fact of when I close my hood, im 4" from the latch. It hits my intake elbow. I have a few options cut a hole in the hood and be balla like Frank was with the L engine/blower. I could buy a cowl, or I could ajust the motor and k, then shim the hood and make it "work" and get a small cowl or higher clearance hood.

Here are the hoods im looking at.

Do you want it to look like a race car or keep a street/strip look?

That first hood is very extreme and gives the car a pure race look...and the second hood keeps a streetable look.

Its a race car, it will not see the street.
Thats not what I asked...do you want it to LOOK like a race car, or just a mustang with a cowl hood?

The first one makes it look like a legit race car...second one is just a normal cowl hood you see all the time.

i voted before i read the page lol... i put cut a hole haha... pics of said oversided engine? cut hoods are badass sometimes.. when cut just enough for the stuff to stick through, not just a random square or soemthing..

if you want my advice on a hood... go with #1... its tits.

I think those look horrible, but I think you are looking more for function then form so who cares as long as it fits.
