First Time @ the Track

went to the track for the first time in my 98GT last Wednesday with some import buddies that wanted me to run with them. went to Thunder Valley in Red Springs, N.C. 1/8 track. 98GT, little headwork, NPI, stock 2.73s, 4R70W, H&R Super Sports, 17x9 10th Anniversary Cobra wheels with Nitto NT555 245/45s up front and 275/40s out back, SLP LM1 Catback, and UPR O/R X. everything else is stock. best pass of the night was my first

spun almost all the way through first and it seems my car holds a second before jumping into 2nd which i where i feel it loses a bit of time and MPH other than the spinning(launching from about 1200) this is my DD so not gonna do much with it other than maybe the way i drive it. Money is going into the Foxbody now. this sound alright for what the car is?

Its a little npi car so its not going to be a rocket, what ws the 60' time. 9.50's are slow but like I aid the HP and gear you have are really not the best for a 1/8 mile sprint.

they didnt list the 60' on the street cars time slips. idk why. i ran against a badass supercharged blazer on one run and it showed his 60' and not mine still. thought about getting gears but need to keep some good highway MPG. would 3.73s be any better at having a little faster time? not wanting to do to much to this since im planning a turbo fox build asa i can get into the NAvy and get some money coming in and this is gonna stay the DD

Gas mileage will prob increase a lil around town and deff be better on the highway I would think.the 273 suck

really? i figured the city MPG would go up a hair but u think the highway may too? might have to get somegears for her then before saving up for the LX

think i should get 3.73s or 3.90s? think ill decide between those 2

Prob 390s,middle of the rd.those were what I originally intended on with my car but they were on backorder
