I have stiffened up the ride with some new Koni shocks and lowering springs but now the rougher ride means a few more creaks from the plastic door panels. The dash and other interior panels are fine but those damn door panels bug me. Has anyone had this annoyance and what have you done to try and silence it? The car has been babied it's whole life and only has 58k, no accidents and has been stored winters. Not sure what to try 1st.

Thanks!

Westland, but I have family out in Brooklyn. If you are in the area next SUN 10th, there is a cool All-Ford car show called Mustang Memories in Livonia put on by the local Mustang Club MOCSEM (Mustang Owners Club of SE Michigan). Come check it out.

Thanks for the tip on the panels too, we'll see what that is...

another possible problem could be the door cup ...they are famous for breaking from being pulled on to shut the door maybe its getting worn out and loose

Its plastic...so its gonna flex no matter what you do to it...

I put some FATMAT (generic Dynamat brand) in my door panels and floor/trunk and it seemed to help with all my creaks/rattles/noises.
