Passenger Door Won't Unlock

Thinking aloud - is it possible (once I get the door card off!) to by-pass the actuator in some way?

So I can still open the door from the inside but use the key / push the knob down to lock and unlock from the outside or opening the door from the inside?

I used to have a Jaguar X-Type where the passenger door would not unlock from the remote and had to be done from the inside so it's not a major ag in the short-term...

Well got the Christmas tree plug out and all the other screws and door card came loose. Not enough space and clearance to life it out though alas. Couldn't get my hands in as arms too large. No further forward.

Tried lifting the lock rod whilst it was accessible but nothing - it won't budge.

Am confident the actuator is seized so I've ordered one of those from rock auto - should be with me Wednesday (excellent international shipping) then need to find somewhere with smaller arms than me that can get it swapped out...

Actuator swapped today at a garage who had smaller hands than me and all sorted and working again
