yes they are worth it and when you get your car tuned, you should have the option of getting a handheld tuner with the tune..

(usually you buy the tuner and they tune the car with it and you keep the tuner. at least all the shops ive seen do it that way, some do chips though.)

i went to this shop called modular powerhouse here in georgia (any one heard of it?). as you can conclude from the name, they are a mustang specialty garage. anyways, i went there looking to see if they coud get me a used IRS for my car (said i would choke if they gave me a price for new) but they coudent get any, so i asked them how much tuning on thier dyno would cost. they said $220 for a chip, then $350 for a naturaly aspirated tune and $450 for a supercharged tune, either way, it would be 1 1/2 or 2 hours of dyno time.

how are those prices? bad? good?

also they said for installing PI heads, Intake, and cams, that would be $1,200. i assume that's parts and labor. either way you look at it, ill take care of that part myself, i dont have that kind of dough.

I've got an SCT and I've been happy with it. It's nice when something goes wrong, too, and you can look up the codes.

I have the Xcal2, but the Xcal3 is the best all around buck. The livewire hasn't gotten very good reviews for its price.
