Do I cut/resolder each of the wires that comes off the box and goes off to the right through the hole?

I think I would make the hole bigger and push the box through the hole instead of cut/splice all those wires.
then reweld the hole

Yea I moved the fuse box and wires to the inner fender . There's only a few wires that needed to be extended

All I had to extend were a headlight wire and the alternator wires

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you pull the back cover off the fuse box you can just pull the connections from the box and reconnect them on the other side (shouldn't need to solder). If you're planning on mounting the fuse box flush with the side of the engine bay you may as well just cut a hole big enough to fit the fuse box through and and then weld on a new panel because you'll be doing that work anyway, it will save you some trouble.

Btw where did you get that grounding block? I was going to machine one for myself but may as well buy it.

cut all the wires and redo them in phoenix gold.

seriously though, you shouldn't have to cut any of those wires. best thing to do is trying and pull the box through

The idea of pushing the box through is cute, but the wiring would not allow it with out disconnecting it. It loops around and through the fender in such a way that pulling it one way would just mean more wire on the other side. Didn't see that it could disconnect from the box will go take a look at that.

we removed the plastic cover, bent the thing into place, inspected the wires to ensure we weren't ripping any out, then re-plastic wrapped them.

if you're trying to get that thing into the fender, it fits through that hole... thats how ford installed it at the factory. :)

as for excess wires living in the fender, its not a big deal. no one will see them. :)

I can't even see a fuse box in that pic. Not sure which hole it is supposed to go through, the fender or the headlight hole in the front? The wire hrns doesn't go in/out of the same hole so just pulling it into the fender will still leave the wire hrns through the engine bay. It that just covered up with the scot rod panels?

ok disconnected it on the passenger side and it makes more sense now but there is no way in hell that fusebox is fitting through that hole. Took all the fuses/relays and its just too long. Went ahead and made a small cut along side of the hole to allow enough space. It will all be covered by the scott rod panels I just ordered.

if you plan on smoothing the aprons youll be completely cutting them out regardless. this is wnen you will remove the fuse box, no cutting splicing or anything of that nature will be needed.. As far as vacume lines go start by ripping out the tree and also pulling the rest of the vac lines completely out. At this point youll need to decide whats staying and whats going...ie, heat, emmission crap yada yada. Once you have that crap soted out you can wait on plumbin the vac lines back in once you get the motor dressed.

JFYI even with the scott rods you should completely cut out the old aprons and if your going this far do it right and yank the motor out of there, youll thank me in a few months trust.

already planning on taking the motor out. Never done it myself so it will be a learning exp for me. I guess my problem with the vac lines is I know diddly about them honestly. Not sure what/where is needed on what and how to do it... Would like to get rid of the EGR crap but always thought the computer would have issues after. What is needed to take it out?

you can yank the egr and have the function turned off inyour tune. The rest of the vacume is pretty much self explanitory. ie...brake booster, fuel pressure reg, hvac controls, cruise if equipped ect ect

I beg to differ. Took all the fuses/relays out, the cover on the back, tried it every way I could and it wasn't going through. Cut a 1/4" off of it and then it was able to fit with some work. Will be cutting most of it out anyway so it didn't matter....

hm. strange. i wonder why mine did.... we did minimal cutting on the sheet metal on my car. my intake plumbing was the issue on mine.

if you want to make it look nice, some glue and vacuum tube goes a long ways :)

gonna make it look real nice when the scot rod panels are welded in so it didn't matter at all. Idunno I swear I tried it every way and didn't see it happening. I flipped it over and who ever was crazy enough to pull each of those pins and then get them back in the right place, I feel sorry for. Tomorrow - the passenger fender...
