I've been looking at Broncos, mostly late-80s, early-90s Broncos. My dad had one and I would like to stay with Ford for my winter vehicle, I wanted a 4x4 that could be some fun too. So I was just wondering if any of ya'll have had Broncos or something along those lines and would like to share stories, or things you learned while owning a 4x4.

I bpught a 1988 Bronco about 5 years ago as a emergency vehicle. I got myself into a pickle and needed something quick. Bought it for $500.00 used it for 3 months and donated it to the Purple Heart foundation. I put nothing into it accept alot of gas, it had a big thirst for it.

I loved my 95 Bronco and I really really miss it.

XLT, 5.8L, 130k miles and never had any big issues out of that you wouldn't expect from any other older vehicle. Interior was busted up pretty bad from the previous owner (City of Auburn truck, well maintained but interior had been out to install strobe boxes, CB, etc) but great truck. Only issue I had was the rearend started to go out on me but it wasn't a big deal. They drink a TON of gas but acceptable considering it is a fullsize brick.

My familt has owned a couple bronco's ...they are great!!! Ours never had problems beyond normal wear and tear. For the most part pretty simple to work on and planty of room to sit underneath the hood lol. We also had on that had a 427 in it, cool but scary

Im considering getting one too for a winter vehicle but i also need a tow vehicle and i don't tihnk its gonna be up to the task like another diesel will

bronco's are way better for offroading then a jeep in stock form. they turn way better

I had no problems offroad with mine once I got the auto hubs off and swapped out with some Warn units.

And just look at how sexy this is:

Yea I'd go for a 93 or newer one. I've got a 90 bronco and a 94 f150 and I like the looks of the later body style SO much better.

And when you look at one make sure the back window works good with the switch in the dash and the key on the tail gate. Good luck!!

I had a 94 OJ Simpson addition with a 5-speed, it was one of the coolest vehicles I've ever owned... If I found another one for the right price I would buy it in a second

I'm On my 3rd bronco now. Ive had a 78 , 88 & currently a 95. I love them , they 4wheel like mad for there size handel good and you really can't hurt them.
My 95 has 240k on the stock 351 and it will still go any where and do any thing with out really given me any grief. Only thing I've had to do to it in 6 years was the old rear end finally wore out and the electronic hubs shot craps finally aswell , no big deal tho. Its like 90 buck for a supper nice set of warns. I will say this tho , don't buy a bronco with a 302 and think its going to be better on gas than the 351's , just don't work lol My buddy has a 94 with a 302 and theres time where I've gotten better mpg than him on road trips. Also just fyi , don't try to fill it up unless u hit the lotto... 32 gallon tank , bone dry will take 34.4 gallons to fill.. Your Wallet will cry....

easily one of the best suvs ever made. Ive had two, 85 and a 86. The 85 is a champ no problems at all with it besides the usual rust on these. The 86 had some oil leaking problems but for a 302 with almost 200k on it i had no problem with that. My dad currently has a 94 with the 5.8, sucks the gas but he loves it. He also had a 79 when i was growing up, i miss that thing and want that body style so bad with a 460 in it. All around great trucks and recommend to many
