Hey guys.

I just purchased the ford racing SFI balancer. I was wondering if any of your guys have used this balancer and know what to modify. I already have the spacer(B531 for H.O)

M-6316-A50** 302 (1981-93) 50 oz.-in. 1 Meets SFI 18-1 5 12.1 6

1 Damper has removable weight that allows use as a neutral balance unit for internally balanced crankshafts. 1994-01 Mustang and Explorer requires modification.

Where do i need to modify to use this on our 94-95 cars?

Let me know and any help would be great!

Thanks

If you bought that specifically for the 94-95 it should come with any spacer necessary. Where did you pick it up.

yes.. its a pain, but possible. You need to use the right spacers, (1/2 inch i think) and you will grind the very bottom of the timing cover almost all the way to the bolt itself for clearance.

It's a 95 302. So I will have to grind the bottom of the timing cover to the bolt? Is that an easy task? or something i will get frustrated over? I believe i got correct spacer...the b351 spacer. 80-up later 5.0's

If you have done it do you have picture or some sort? or can you give me an idea of where?

Thanks

my balancer says its a 6.4 so i dont think i should have to grind well hopefully. and the spacer should be 3/8" not 1/2".

No pic, sorry, but you will see when you try to put it on. Its the very bottom of the timing cover. :eek:ccasion14:
