so i had posted a few topics on my car lurching below 2000 rpm, and basically running like doo doo while decelerating. Today i got my new 17x10.5s :eek:uttahere: and low and behold, my problem has all but vanished. I couldnt figure it out for shit. so at closer examination to my old rims, they are freaking BENT :wall: . the passenger side was bad, in facti was down to putting air in it at least once a week or so. I didnt ever suspect that to be my problem as i had figured it to be fuel related or something in my driveline but its almost as smooth as glass now. Theres a slight buck left but i think taht is a dirty maf but i would say 90% of it has dissapeared. so to everyone who has had this problem, check your wheels! they could be bad :happydrunks:

There is no way that was tire related.

I mean how could tires affect how your engine is running?

unless his car wasnt actually running bad and the wobble of the bent rim made it feel like the engine was running poorly?

thats what it was doing. My car would lurch and jump when i wasnt giving it any gas, and it sounded like my rear end and tranny were gonna fall out of my car. turns out having two F'ed up rims was causing an imbalance in my diff. which rattled everything from the clutch back.

When you experience this, the sound of emminent catastrophic failure, please stop the car and look to see what's wrong. Next time it might actually happen and we don't want anyone getting hurt. You still may have damage inside the differential or axle housing so you may want to look further into things.

well i am exagerating a bit with that statement haha it was more of a slight clunk in a way but it was a violent jerk below 1800rpm esp. in 1st gear
