I've got a buddy that just bought a '90 LX coupe, it has no quad shocks, a 4 link rear suspension, solid lower, and adjustable upper control arms... he was wondering if a 10.5" rim would fit under the rear of the car? He is looking ast a set of 17X10.5" '03/'04 Cobra rims, and was askign me if they fit... do they? it has rear adjustable coilovers as well... I know he MIGHT need to roll the lip on the fender. also, if he runs a 10.5" rear rim... whats the largest tire he can put? he wants to put Nitto 555R Drags on the rear, i think in a 17, they only make a 305 wide for it right? either way... if somebody could answer these 2 questions. he and i would both appreciate it...

It would probably get answered quicker at Corral.net. I don't know. I am thinking you can't but I have been wrong before.

stumped. idk much about foxes. but if you wanted to you could probably go find out with a tape measurer. run it from the inside fender skirt to the inner fender and if it's like 10 inches then my guess is they won't fit

If you roll the fender lip and take a hammer to the inside wheel well closest to the sub-frame it might fit, but you would have some rubbing issues with any weight or body roll in the car. We tried Hellion94s' rear steeda wheels on a 90 gt that we just sold, they fit but it was close and those were 9.5 inch wheels with 295s on an 18 inch wheel.

i think you have to do some major clearancing. i have seen one fox, that had 18X10.5 with 315s out back.
it looked sweet as hell but the guy told me that the inside of his fender looks like ass with all the modifying
he had to do.

10.5's are pretty wide

a 10 would work with the 305 nitto because nitto makes some of the narrowest tires around.

I'm going to be running a 10 inch rim with a bfg 295 (close to a nitto 305 or even 315) and I plan on ditching quads, already rolled the fender lips and am going to pound the inners once I get it all mocked up. I have seen pics of the same setup as mine and it worked fine.
