front suspension squeak

i have the most annoying squeak in the front driver side that occurs when i go over a bump and now when i shimmy the steering wheel back and forth kinda fast. anyone else had this problem? or a suggestion?

do you have a lowered suspension?

i didnt see any suspension mods in your sig, but just making sure.

i had that problem when in installed my lowering springs

ya i have bbk springs and tokiko shocks, also cc plates

did you remove the isolators?

nope stilll got the isolators, but this has just satrted all the sudden. i havent done any mods to cause it. so it may be the ball joints. ill have to checck them out.

yeah pretty sure its your balljoints...i suffered from the same annoying noise on my 97GT

also another possibility would be a bad shock. my friends dad has a 01 gt with the tockio blue shocks and struts, and he
started to notice a noise from the front, turned out to be a bad shock. but ball joints are more than likely.

well i jacked my car up and found that the lower ball joint is trashed so for now i just brake cleaned it out and sprayed some wd-40 in it and the sqeak went away. so i guess ill be replaceing them soon.

well i jacked my car up and found that the lower ball joint is trashed so for now i just brake cleaned it out and sprayed some wd-40 in it and the sqeak went away. so i guess ill be replaceing them soon.

If the boot is ripped.......FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET A NEW ONE TOMORROW OR SOMETHING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!

Trust me I could have been killed. I ripped the boot on one of mine when I did my springs, not even two months had gone by. I figured it was fine and I was busy so didnt mess with it real soon. I was leaving my house and i thought my wheel had come off! The ball joint had ripped COMPLETELY out of the control arm and my car was now resting on my tire. I live about a mile from the freeway, which was where I was heading. I dont even want to know what would have happened if I made it to the freeway. Trust me man even if you get some cheapo one till you can afford the x2s do it!!

yeah im not sure how it is but i know when i had my civic when i was 17 with tokico shocks and eibach springs i am glad it happened in my friends driveway. I am so glad it didn't happen on my drive home or worse anywhere else...... it can get bad

Check the tie rod ends too they can make a ittle chirp sound too if they are worn out.
