Fuel gauge question

Hi everyone, my fuel gauge was working perfectly on my 94. I bought some white face overlay gauges that install without removing the needles. I moved the needle around on all the gauges gently during install and everything seems to work fine except my fuel gauge. It was moved alittle pasted full and I figured it would bounce back when I reinstalled it. It didn’t, so I took it apart again and moved it back to 3/4 full where I knew it was and nothing. It’s just stuck there. It moves free by hand so I don’t believe the overlay is rubbing on it. Any tips on how to fix this? Is there any place the sells just that part of the cluster? I did remove the fuel and temp side out of the cluster as well just to see how it worked if that means anything. Thanks

Try setting the needle at empty and then turn the key to run. You may have set the needle exactly where your fuel level was, hence no movement.
