Fuel hat sizes

Does anyone know the stock fuel line size off the hat for feed and return? I keep seeing 5/16 or 3/8 and I'm not sure which one it is. Also the Filter fwiw is 5/16 on both ends so you would assume its 5/16 feed. However LMR sells a new hat that says its 3/8 feed and work with "stock" system. I'm looking at going E85 this winter I know the stock lines are fine but what's a winter break without a good project?

So if the feed from the pump is 3/8 why use a 5/16 filter and not a 3/8 like the fees? That's what I find odd lol

You believe that the filter is too small, does not have sufficient volume? Valid point. Thank you. But, what keeps you from installing a larger filter?

I wanted to run a stock filter just to keep stuff simple. I'm probably gonna snag a filter at autozone and see for my self if it's actually 5/16. I'm not so concerned about flow as much as I am the pain in the butt to buy two size adapters. I'm only shooting for 400hp NA on e85 so even at 5/16 which is 6an that should be fine

Oh, gee. I was aware of your higher HP! You know, I always wondered why someone didn't try parallel, redundant fuel filtration. It would certainly reduce the fluid velocity at the filter's media surface. A velocity higher than the filter media is rated for could cause serious problems... Just a thought.
