Im thinking about getting a v6 sn95 for my daily driver. I was wondering what kind of fuel milage they get?

And any difference between the coupes and the verts.....leaning towards the vert..lol

Thanks

I get about 28 mpg on the freeway and about 21 mpg in the city and I have a 98 v6 coupe auto.

coupes get a little bit better gas mileage than verts. verts are heavier.

Whatever you do, don't buy a v6 vert auto, they are the slowest of the slow :knuppel2:

I got 23.6 mpg, all city driving, on my '94 auto coupe with my performance tune. Just kept it under 2k rpms.

Per tank, my '98 coupe (V6 auto) gets about 240~ish. First tank I ran through it when I first bought it, the thing literally ran out at 240. Last tank I got to 246 before I put fuel in it, but it still had some room left on the fuel gauge (when mine hits "E", it's definitely EMPTY!!!).

Then again, I've got 193k miles on it, and it's got a bad head gasket on top of it. I think I'll be getting a tiny bit better now, since I replaced the bad tensioner pulley and lubed everything. I'd say for all of that, I'm doing ok.

remember the vert. is alot heavier. The mpg's aren't too bad though, although mine have seemed to be killed with my gears. :sad5:

Prior to running some fuel-system cleaner and cleaning up my plugs, I was getting right at 23mpg highway, 19 city. After said cleaner and taking my Autolite Double Platinum plugs out and cleaning them up real nice-like, I'm now getting about 26mpg, 21 city.

I could probably get more mpg out of my car if I replaced the crappy Fram air filter with a K&N, and did some other minor upgrades, but I'm working a deal for a good 5.0L engine from a Lincoln right now, so I don't really feel like throwing a lot of cash at the 3.8L right now.

I dont know what it equals but I just got like 285 miles to most of my tank...probably could have pushed it closer to 300+ but I wanted to fill up.

This is with a blown, stalled, auto, 4.6 96 gt.

285/13 gallons which is what it takes from full to E = 22 mpg avg.

Not bad considering the full throttle runs and probably 30-40% city driving that I do

My car seems to get great gas mileage just crusing on the highway at 65-70 mph....

I would think its getting atleast 25 mpg on the highway for it to average out as high as it does with the shitty mpg I should get in the city.

Before my swap I was getting 17 city 21 hwy. The best I ever got was 25mpg which was 100% all highway, cruise control and top up the entire way. And that was before the majority of my mods.

1994 v6 vert: 168000 miles, 17 city, 21 hwy, w/ cai, 17x10.5 and 17x9 wheels, dual exhaust, flowmasters, 3.73s w/ tlok, ported and polished heads and intake. Not sure what that does to mileage. I honestly didnt notice much of a difference
