fuel pump issue(no start inter)

my buddies got a 95 gt and just recently when he goes out in the morning to start it it will just crank. no fuel pump when he turns the key. if he sprays starting fluid in the t body,the car will fire up and run/drive and start all day. the next morning nothing.....he said he can mess with the relay sometimes and it will start up but here recently it wont. he swapped relays with another stang he has and the problems still there... any ideas? no power to the pump in the morning,but will start and be fine all day if he sprays starting fluid in it to get it started in the morning. thanks guys!

iirc, the PCM supplies a ground or power (I forget, Paul may be able to chime in) and there is a fuse that goes to the relay, so it may be a prob with the PCM.

Did he possibly try the inetria switch and see if it's getting power amd passing the power on to the pump?
