I have a cammed 4.6 with a stock fuel pump, I consume an assload of fuel for the large duration of cams, you should be perfectly fine with a bolt-on car. I think your problem is elsewhere, my fuel pump whines too, it's normal. Datalog the fuel pressure if you have an SCT. test it throughout the rpms and watch for any drop off.

I would recommend a walbro as well...you dont want to have to drop the tank when/if you get a power adder, plus they are the same price or cheaper than an OEM pump

go with a walbro 155lph and youll be set, but for it to whine is not normal MadStang, just a matter of time until you cant start your car

it's not a loud whine but it's audible. Every mustang I've owned has had it and those are all on cars that have never had a fuel issue.

I want someone to get in my car, its awesome you can hear it whine from the inside, it deflects with the brakes applied. I <3 fuel pump whine...I know it at least has power to it :)

for some reason a few aftermarket shift lights or tachs that are grounded behind the dash cluster cause a whine in the fuel pump.
