Hey guys, just wanted to know what kind of fuel pumps do you use. Three pumps in my car so far. Stock one worked perfect every time, hot or cold did not need any priming, fired the car up with in 5 cranks usually. Then I changed it to a Walbro knock off because I was an idiot. Worked well cold, but really temperamental when hot. Shut off on me a few times in temperatures past 100, which was a real drag. Now I'm running a autozone replacement, which requires quite a bit of priming before it fires up, really makes the car feel it's age with that one. So, the question is this. What is the best operating stock style in-tank pump I can get? Honestly, I really wish I still had the stock Ford one.

I have a Walbro 255, and sometimes if its cold out, it takes a while to prime and start up too. I've heard Aeromotive is better.

Does Aeromotive have one which drops into the tank like stock?

lol, that's what I found too. I'll call them tomorrow, ask a few questions. If they sound legit, I'll get it. Really sick of cranking the car a million times like an idiot. Nothing says hooptie like a car that does not start on first attempt.

I just logged on to start the exact same thread. One thing though, I can not possibly put up with a pump that will not stay primed or work intermeadiately. No way in hell! If true, that it's the case that alot of them are tempermental, then I need advice as to which fuel pump (drop in) is of the highest quality? I don't care what the F'n price is. I definately do not want to have to drop the gas tank more than once.
-Lastly- What else is needed when replacing the fuel pump? Gromet, or something like that? I thought there were at least two small parts needed in addition to the fuel pump kit. Yes, No??
Thanks guys, & I appoligize for using or jumping in to your thread post ReplicaR-
Any opinions PLEASE~

The thought of a cheap pump in my tank just sounded like a really really bad idea for me. I went with a name I could trust and did holley.

Holley fuel pumps are made by Walbro as are the bbk and performance world and prolly a few others... As soon as you look threw the package it says Walbro on the side, I'm quite sure you will be more then happy with the aeromotive.

ReplicaR I think the thread hijacking is like a stock thing here on an95 lol..

I would recommend replacing the grommet for the filler kneck my first time on my yellow car didn't know any better years ago lost a half tank of gas in like 20 mins left turns sweet wet streaks :(

when they did mine they said they needed a seal from the dealer, they were the only onest that carried it he said.

Not sure how it can be considered a thread-jack when he is just asking what other little parts he would need for the same install.

This is something that I am looking at doing also since I want to put a supercharger on mine. What would be a good pump? Thanks in advance.

Walbro 255 here with no issues. You will also need the filler grommet because it is normally ripped. Have fun.
