Your return style sytem regulates the pressure with a regulator that closes off the fuel return line against the fuel pump line pressure. The fuel from the regulator that isn't blocked off to maintain your pressure is then routed back to the fuel tank and then recirculated again.

The returnless system has a modulated pump that the EEC controls by monitoring the fuel rail pressure and some others. The fuel pump module speeds and slows down the pump to regulate the programmed pressure it is set to maintain. There is no regulator and so no fuel is sent back to the tank or recirculated.

You want to stay with your stock return system.
