I pulled the trigger on a Novi 2000 head unit, bracket, and some other small parts. I need to upgrade the Injectors, fuel pump, and maf before in install the blower and I was looking for some suggestions. I was planning on an SVT Focus pump, 42lb injectors, and either a Lightning MAF or an SCT BA2800 MAF. Does this seem sufficient for 8-10lbs and around 375-400 hp? It will be non-intercooled but I will be running a meth kit.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I would jump to 80's close to the same price of 42's from what I been told idle is just as good and lots room to grow. Get the 340lph pump it's good for up to 800hp.

I would go with 42 or 60# injectors, 255lph pump and boost a pump or a 340lph pump, BA2800 maf...that will be more than enough with a little room to grow too

Boost a pump even used is more expensive than a 340lph. go to eectuning.org do a search youll see they recomend 80's. Ez to tune and wount max them out like 42's.

^ what about that? Its one guy saying to go with 80 # injectors...

I just hopped on corral and read thru stoprolla's thread there, look what kurgan has to recommend as well...

rz5.0 - do you understand how much injector 80# is for a stock motor with stock rails, lines, fpr, etc?

Yea, I agree 80lbs is way too big for the power I'm trying to make. I'll probably end up with 42's or 60's, whichever I get a better deal on. It'd be nice to get a good deal on 60's, but I think 42's are probably adequate.

My larger concern right now is finding a fuel pump that fits in the stock hat that doesn't require much modification. On Lethals site, it says the FGT pump requires an upgrade to the FPDM...what is this?

Yeah idle quality and calibrating to a maf like the 2800 or 2400 would be rough. I have a few friends with 60's that are in the 650+ range, it honestly just seems like 80's would be complete overkill on a motor in the 375-400 range, but just my honest opinion

i still vote BA2800, 42s or 60s, 255 or 340 with a boost a pump. safe tune the ho. then keep on, keep'n on. the BA2800 in any config is good til almost 600. 42s are good til mid 400. either 255 or the 340 are good pumps. a 255 is tried and true. you wont have to change any fuel lines. you may have to upgrade the FPDRM but you can get a modded one affordable through lethal. the meth isnt necassary at around 10psi. you can get a powerpipe and do well with a conservative tune on the stock engine. if you dont want to dive too much into this that is where i would start.

Neither the 255 or 340 will suffice without a boost-a-pump?

jasons pretty much dead on
I dont think you HAVE to run a boost a pump with a 255, back when I was on my stock motor I was in the 400/400 range with 42# injectors, walbro 255, and a LMAF. But, it cant hurt as fuel will be your friend with a blower setup.

rz5.0 - who is this guy that keeps saying about the 80# injectors? To say "to go less than a 80# injector is pointless" is one of the most idiotic statements ive heard...i really hope he is not a tuner or somebody that touches your car

Lol he is some tuner guy. I tune my own car or try anyways. i was going for 60's too. But I look around a bit and found a few people saiying that 80 and 60's were close to the same in tuning. And idle the same. So I said fuck it. Ill wait till I get mine on then I can really say if they are too much injectors. But my set up is a lil diffrent than his.

yeah...he is putting a blower on a completely stock motor with bolt ons...a bit different.

I went overkill as well but we have way different setups where more fuel is better. My fuel system can support 900rwhp
