Gauge Cluster ( L@@K )

ok, so im know this has probley been on here be for but i was wanting my gauge cluster to be red... how do i go about doing this?

is it the bulbs or the face cover?

you have to sand the green off the back of the guage cluster and put in red bulbs

and how do you go about getting the green off? got any pictures? or a write up or something?

BUMP, do you have to sand from behind??? and how do you get it apart with out tearing up your face plate thingy

Just for the record, the tint is actually blue. That's why when you put the white LEDs in, you get blue.


Just throwing that out there.

But if I sand off the tint i can get white lights right, I dont want a white face gauge cluster I just want the white lights.

Yea, I suppose you could. But I don't know, I'm just going off waht he said. I just threw the LEDs in it for the blue look.

Well your lights are green because the film behind the cluster is blue and the stock bulbs are yellowish. BLUE & YELLOW = GREEN. Just peel/scrape off the green film, then pick any color bulb and that's the color your cluster with have.

what Sean said. I made a write up on swapping bulbs in our clusters on the site. I didn't go into sanding off the blue film behind the cluster but you could use the write up if you wanted.

does anyone know where i can get sapphire blue bulbs at hahaha j.k

but i would like to do this probably have to get a dark/deep purple bulb

just take a butter knife and slowly peal the old face off. Just make sure you get your needles back in the right spot. i sanded it with the pocket knife i had.lol just use sand paper though.
