Well I was messing around with my gauge cluster, took the needles off, my first problem and now for the life of me I can not get them to show correctly. If I were to buy another GT gauge cluster off of craigslist would I be able to just throw it in my car and it accurately read my system (Tach, odo, speedo, temp, fuel)?

Ahh that sucks. One thing I saw online is to take a picture of the gauges and where they sat before removing the needles or installing diff gauges (white face, el glow etc..). Idk if by changing the cluster it would do anything.

you should be able to plug it straight in.... that is unless some moron pulled the needles off and couldn't remember where they went.

sorry, it was too easy and I couldn't pass it up.
I you have access to a good scanner, you can get an accurate tach reading same with the water temp. Fuel guage= fill up the car and set the needle on F. Speedo= us a GPS.
to set the needle. What's wrong with the odo?

I did thats the thing about it, I took a picture of all of the gauges and after I put them back on they were all over the place.

I feel like a moron lmao, I took pictures and set them in the same spot and they are still all over the place. Ok I will try that thanks guys! Err didn't mean to put odo in there I was rushing when I made the post. I had just filled up this morning and placed that gauge on full but after driving around some it hasnt moved at all, tach is reading accurately after playing with it for awhile, coolant works for the most part, speedo is still all over the damn place after about 3 hours of driving around with a GPS in the car.

you have to get the car up to being warm and then you take the picture. Same with putting them on get it warmed up and then you can estimate where to put the needles. Not all the gauges are compatible with each other, I was just helping someone else that swapped clusters and now his defroster will never turn off. If you do swap them try to get on that is the same year as yours as even a year or two can mean that you will have to modify them to work together.

try to make sure its the same year or you may need to do more then adjust it 3mph to get it too work. Pretty sure you can swap the odometer and keep the current milage.

Thanks man! Alot of 94-95 clusters are being sold locally on craigslist, Ive seen this guy get alot of them and repair all the odometer gearing problems in them and resell them. If I cant get one of those for cheap Im sure I can find a matching one somewhere or Ill stop *****ing and fix the one in my car lol!

the 94/95 is the only one that's a direct swap for us. BTW the odometer can be removed and replaced on the new cluster.
