I have a 94 with an aode. i put 4.10's in it and now when i mash the gas from a stop the shift from 1-2 i bounce the rev limiter for just a sec which is no big deal. but the shift from 2-3 it just keeps bounceing and wont shift. So what can i do to fix this. I dont want a tune cuz the car is almost stock so it would be a waste. HELP please

There's a coincidence, i put in 3:73's and mine's perfect 1-2, but boot it 2-3 and then its bouncing higher up above 4-5 thou rpm, yours is probably worse because of the higher ratio, though it seems more like a misfire but i'm sure its the limiter as its so high up.
As the shifts are controlled electronically i have been wondering about how to get around this very problem. Its ok revving it on the driveway, but that does'nt help much. ;)

You need a tune to switch the shift points.

I had the same problem with my 3.73's. Gotta tune, no problem. The AODE is electronic so the PCM still thinks it has the original gears so it is going to wind out more.

Just out of interest how do you do that?
Or is there something you can buy that would work, only because its unlikely i'm going to find anyone here that can do that.

If their is no one around with the software to adjust it ie: Diablosport or SCT...

Karl Baumann sells The Baumannator TCS - $425.00

The Baumannator TCS allows complete control of the AOD-E/4R70W

Wouldn't getting a speedcal to adjust the speedometer solve this issue, because the computer would think the gears are stock because the MPH would be corrected?

Pay attention noob, 94-95's... Jeez.

As other's said, a PCM chip or reflash will cure it. Assuming it wasn't exhibiting any funky behavior before the swap?
