Gears? 3.73s or 3.55s

Hey i have a 94 GT with a vortech on it. The car currently has 3.73s in it and i was wondering would if be better to switch to a set of 3.55s. I have a buddy wanting to trade my 3.73s for his 3.55s. Would it be worth the swap or should i just stick with what i got?

Do you have a 5speed or automatic?

If 5speed i'd say 3.55's
Auto 3.73's

Just my opinion.

I got 3:73s and 70mph is still pretty low revs, it hurts fuel consumption a bit but it was well worth it.
Anyway who buys a 5ltr car for economy.

I think he's more concerned about the power hes gettin from his vortech and he doesnt want to run out of gear. I want to do 3:55 whenever I can get a bg turbo

HAHA true that i get 12.5 mpg with my car. I only have a 6 mile drive to work that's why it is so crappy.

With forced induction i would def go with the 3.55.

The difference is so small it doesn't really matter. Pick one.

Yea i am not worried about the mpg issue, i was just thinking about the running out of gear issue. If i do a dig or a 10 roll the car just spins like crazy in first and in second. The highway mileage issue would be a bonus but if i am gonna lose 60ft time or cause more boost lag than i dont want to do it. I just know alot of guys like to run 3.55s with force induction!
