Re: New to the board

You ever wonder, Why the $#%& did I buy that. I sold some MSD stuff I had laying around. I contacted a guy about an Edelbrock RPM intake. I got enough from the MSD stuff to get the intake. The guy never got back to me about the intake so I found some SVT Focus black leather seats and 3 SVT rims. I bought them to sell them. I haven't been able to unload them yet. Worse yet is the guy got back to me about the intake. He was in Mexico for two weeks.LOL He said he still had it and would take the $100 less than what he wanted offer I sent him. Damn!!!! I did however find a 94 GT at the wreckers and got a K&N filter, red FMS plug wires and the 460 speakers that go in place of the mirror covers. All for $20 Canadian. I want the 5 speed out of the car. Still has pedals and everything I need.

Thank god for parts cars. The 25 cent clip on the end of the shift cable which can't be bought seperately broke so thankfully I didn't need the outrageously priced new shifter cable cause the one from my 6cl auto parts car worked perfect! Did a few things today when I finally brought the Stang home. Put my Bullitt fuel door on. Thought it would be overkill all aluminum so I put some carbon fibre on the door and just left the outer ring aluminum. Not sure if I'll leave it on or not. Need to clean it up in a couple spots for sure. I also put in a grill that I just picked up. Put a fender emblem from my 6 cyl Stang in the grill. I just need to adjust it now so its a little straighter. Photoshoped it to make it look lowered. Think I'll do that before I get the cowl hood painted. Getting the windshield Monday, hopefully lower the week after and then maybe get the hood done. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah it is just a roll of carbon fibre style sticker I bought from Canadian tire. It was in the pinstrip section. I didn't buy it specifically for this but I had it laying around and thought I'd give it a try. I just cut out a square then used a razer blade to cut around the edge, leaving enough it could be wrapped around the edges. Put little slices every inch around the edges and then smoothed it ever so it didn't wrinkle up so at least now it doesn't just look like its a sticker thrown on it.

Windshield is in. They did a nice job. Just need to get the pieces back on that I took off to have it installed and then its ready for the safety. Whats a common amount to lower these things. I was thinking 2.5" in the rear and 2" in the front. That should get it just about level. I may go a little lower if I can.

I lowered mine about 1.5" in the rear and 2" in the front...you definitely want to get a raked look.

Coming along good man, can't wait to see it lowered with the hood.
