Haven't posted here in like forever. Been super busy with my new old job(reservist on active for 2 years) and have a baby on the way in April. Car is in storage for the winter still, mods are in the sig. Anyway, as soon as my tax return is deposited in my account I'm calling Craig Radovich and setting a date for a dyno day in mid-late April which is hopefully open enough to reserve some time there. I've decided to get the J4J1 computer tuned and sell the A9L/PIH I have in there now and I know Craig is a wizard with all the Mustang EECs so its all good. Wondering if there is anything I need to worry about for this dyno day. Obviously will change the oil and put my new tires/rims on since the old tires are bald and shot. I don't have a wideband or a hookup for one, do I need to weld in a wideband bung or will they just do that there or something else? I have an AFPR, injectors are 24lbers, fuel pump is stock Cobra which I think is a 110lph or some such, should be enough. Everything else is spanking new as far as the motor goes, it barely has 500 miles on it since the full rebuild. Probably should replace the plugs since its been running pig rich and they're probably fouled a little... Anything else?

Also going to FINALLY install my bilsteins and HR red springs/03 A-arms, steeda X2 balljoints etc... Need to get my full length subframes welded in too...

First of all congrats on the baby!

Second, thanks for what you do for our country.

As for the tuning..make sure your spark is good and strong - coil, cap, wires, plugs...also make sure you don't have any exhaust leaks.

Craig hooks up a wideband that he'll put in one of your tailpipes.

I have known craig for probably 6 or 7 years now - he is awesome...the guy knows so much it is nuts. Then again...he raced NMRA for years so I shouldn't be suprised.

Who is Craig and where is he located? I need a tuner I can trust lol...

Craig owns a shop called Radical Racing in Atco, NJ

Here is an article with info/pics of him racing NMRA Pro 5.0..

Back when I lived in Concord, CA I used to use Race Systems...if I remember correctly they were in San Jose.

Jeez stop hijacking my thread!

And Lafenatu TY for your first post in this thread. You are welcome although as a C-17 Globemaster mechanic I really just turn wrenches all day lol. Still, without heavies there is no way to support troops overseas so I guess I do my part well enough...

As for the car, coil, cap, rotor, stator, wires and ignition box are all brand new as are the plugs but I might change them out right before I take it to get tuned. Its almost a 2 hour drive from my house to Atco but I'm towing the thing on a car dolly with some help from my Father's Powerstroke so its no risk on an untuned motor going that far. The entire drivetrain is new actually... Totally new engine, 3550 trans with like 15,000 miles on it since I got it in 2004, new DS. Rear needs to be freshened up but I'll get to that when it needs it. Car only has 66,000 original miles and already I've torn it apart like an idiot. I probably should have listened to everyone who said just put a blower on it and call it a day haha.

Called him a few days ago. Tune date is 2 March. Now I just have to hurry and get the new tires/rims I have mounted and I'm good to go.
