The link doesn't go to any heads. Please post another.

Pushrod length will have to be measured after you have rockers and lifters.

Shop the corral, you can find AFR's and Twisted Wedges for about 800 bucks pretty easy.

I plan on it! I just need to get a base line for everythng I want. Any money I can save afterwards is good!

I was going to say... $1000+ for X heads is ****ing stupid, no offense to you lol. I got a set of Edel RPMs in great shape for $700 shipped from the Corral. I have them paired with a XE270HR-112 cam(used from the Corral for $175) and a Tmoss ported Cobra intake(not sure what he's charging now but its not more than $250 for a full blown portjob). Anyway there are deals to be had out there as you can see. I paid about $1400 combined for my HCI and I'd say about another $400-$500 for things like pushrods, water pump, timing chain etc...

An HCI isn't cheap but you don't have to pay $2500+ for a TFS kit or something. Just make sure that the heads you buy will clear stock pistons if that's what you're using. Also get a set of heads with stud mounted rockers. SO much easier then pedestal mounts.

As for what else you need:

-Adjustable pushrod checker to measure for proper pushrod length
-Solid checking lifter for pushrod measuring(an old lifter converted to a checking lifter works well)
-Digital caliper to measure the pushrod if it isn't marked
-Hardened 1 piece pushrods
-Timing chain
-ARP head bolts or Studs
-Gaskets
-Degree wheel to degree your cam
-Rockers
-Possibly some Joe Heck SN95 valve covers if your stock ones won't clear aftermarket rockers on aftermarket heads
-New plugs and wires are a good idea
-Moly lube, Black RTV, assembly lube

Probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

The best thing you can do is save up about 1400 bucks, and watch like a hawk, either lowball someone who doesn't sell their stuff right away, or wait for someone who lowballs themselves.
