Give it up for Toyota - Solar power related

I'm first in line to say, I won't buy a Toyota. But I have to give promps when it is do. And know I don't have a link of this.

We all know about the Toyota Prius, the retarded celebraty bandwagon eco car. That isn't worth 17k. And there are cooler cars out there that get better gas mileage. WIth that said. The next version of the Prius will have:

Its Air Conditioning unit powered by SOLAR POWER! How insanely smart is that. Heck you only need AC when its hot and Sunny, and haa this works when, ITS SUNNY! And on top of that it will prevent driveline loss powering it. So everybody gains. I want to see this technology on Sports cars. It would just be wonderful. Sorry for no link, I'm at work search your self.

it is cool, i just heard on the radio the new Prius was going to have a solar panel. 17K tho? More like mid to high 20s for a decent one.

I highly doubt the a/c will be ONLY solar powered, if it is then they are more stupid than I thought.

good luck getting a prius... the dealership i work at wont even take any more orders... ive heard 60 mpg in the new ones and yeah no way your getting a prius for 17k

Wooo buckwheet, I never said I wanted to buy one. Just wish that technology would grace the brands I like. I've love to see solar powered A/C in a Mustang.

If I wanted a gas saver, I'd buy a manual 2008 Focus, wait on the Chevy Volt which is $40k, or buy a turbo diseal VW Beetle.

Why wouldn't a Prius be worth 17K ? Its got plenty of room, advanced technology and gets @50mpg.... not a bad thing at all for a Daily Driver.
Now finding one for 17K is not possible since a base model starts at 21k and we sell ours with a hefty markup which is just fine by me.

Yea, maybe someday will just put a battery in our cars, and play v8 sounds on the radio.

By the way I love your car, driving a black one makes me envy white Stangs.
