glove department light

and what kind of bulb do i replace it with.

:bs: Take a look at yours and see where the actual light is located. I stuck a external light under there and i cant see anywhere a light can installed. Maybe i need to remove the actual glove box door to see the light

Glove box light came on SRS models only.

it is below the airbag on the top of the compartment. You will proabably not see it unless you drop the glove box and then lay on the floor looking up.

Thanks. Exactly what i needed. The useless replies were no help as its really tricky to find if you look with the door installed when the old bulb is out

yea will sorry for my first answer but when you leave the door cracked open a slight amount like that beggin for a smart-ass comment you can almost be sure I will kick that door open to say it.

LOL i gave up looking for the light. I did however find some papers behind the box. A insurance receipt from FL.. and im from IL. LOL!!! My car has traveled i guess!

The light is right up inside the front of it I believe, just reach your fingers up there and you'll feel it kind of behind a little wall thing. Kinda tough to get out.

just an fyi if you have your glove box full and leave the light on for a while it can get hot enough to melt plastic when you shut it if it rubs the light. Pretty sure my manual cover has a burn mark in it since it barely fit in the box.

The glove compartment light and underhood light were removed in 1998. Possibly 1997, I can't remember if the last 97 I was in had them.
