Went to a dyno day yesterday at a local shop and while i was there i set up a tuning date for the whip! Next monday. I can't wait to see how much it actually puts down and how much the tune helps out!

Went to the dyno today, kinda upset, but best run was 266 to the wheels. Ran into a million problems while trying to get it done. ECT sensor just wasn't there, tp sensor was shot, and my fan took a dump while I was there. Drivability is 1000x better than it was before. I'll upload some videos in a little bit. He said it felt kinda weak so i'm thinking my uncle got fucked over when he bought the car. I have no clue how many miles were on it before and probably won't ever know. Still got a couple things I want to change but I'm happy for the time being!

Heres some photos and a video. I'll take a pic of the graph in a little bit. for whatever reason the tq reading was f*cked up so I never a print out and the air/fuel was all good so i didnt have him put it on the graph. It just flattened out right around 5200 and 5500, thats where he let off at.

I have a similar setup and this is what scares me from getting mine dynoed. I know if i do ill end up wanting to put a blower or something on it. lol

But you know what they say about dyno numbers, they arent the end all tell all. Their best use is for tuning to make comparisons.

ahha yeah i know, i'm gonna rent a compression tester and see what it tells me. if it all checks out i'll be happy

idk normal compression? not fucked up compression? haha my buddy with the same combo, but an e303, made 292 on the same dyno

haha makes sense :laughing5: wasnt sure if you changed it or not. Well despite what i said earlier I think I will be going to a dynojet as soon as I get back from school Wednesday night. I have eddy performer heads and gt40 intake and nx282hr comp cam though so im not sure how comparable the number will be.

What cam do you have?

I feel your pain, I to just got bad numbers on the dyno, I only made 282rwhp 314rwtq,My problem is my injector wireing harness is spliced and fried my computer, I need to also readjust my roller rockers and valve job and a better hi flowing intake mani, my car was like your falling on its face around 5,000 rpms, when it should be pulling until 6,000+rpms, my setup is down around 30-40rwhp compared to others,so hopefull you we both can fix are problems and redyno and tune and see the real numbers :( goodluck man!

yeah thats what i'm thinking too. or his dyno is just fucked up? it read rpm as taking it up to 10k and he didnt get a good torque reading because of it so i wonder if it just wasnt reading it right?

I think it's a lot in my intake mani becuase the cam is advertised from 2000-6200 while the intake is from idle-5500

Yeah same here, my cam is for 2,000-6,200 rpms, my intake is only for idle /1,500-5,500, I am stepping my intake up to a track heat version good for 6,000+

well weird thing about that is my buddy w/ the same set up as mine except an e303 cam made 297, switched to a track heat and only made 292 so idk. real proof is at the track dynos just make sure they run right lol
