I wanna say they were functional because the intake was right there, but I'm not completely positive. It's hard to tell from pictures.

00 R hood vents were not functional, and unless 00 Cobra R engine draws it's air through the metal, it would be a wrong place to put it anyway. You can cut open those extractors on the actual car, but since it's too close to the cowl, it will actually draw the air backwards, and will not be effective for heat extraction.

Yup, except im debating the side skirts.. my car is kinda low, and I have other things I need to buy right now.. I almost bought the skirts off craigslist last week but my catconverter decided to blow up I guess and Ive got to get this car on the road.

I'm running no skirts. Looks great to me. Saves weight and money, albeit only a little, but some nonetheless.
