Its been awhile since I got the car dyno'd but when it was put on the dyno to be tuned the numbers were around 238rwhp and around 268rwtq on a Mustang Dyno. The #'s just seemed really low to me. I know I have been told that numbers dont mean anything it is how it runs and times it produces, but still for all the stuff done to it I assumed it would make some where in the high 280's for rwhp.
Maybe Im wrong, here is a list of mods on the car at the time of the dyno pull........
Forged -3cc pistons
Forged I-beam rods
Cast crank
Teksid Block
Brand new stock PI heads
Comp XE262AH cams (timed too)
BBK Equal length shorty headers
Pypes off-road X-pipe
Borla XR-1 Catback
JLT Ram-air
BBK 75mm TB w/ Prof. Prod. Upper plenum
MSD coil packs w/ Ford Racing plug wires
NGK TR55 Plugs
4.10 gears
Stock auto tranny & TC plus BC-Automotive valvebody
......and the SCT X-Cal2 tune is a 93 octane with 20 degrees of timing, not sure what the air fuel ratio was (cant find the dyno sheet right now).
I am just trying to figure out what the deal, or am I setting my hopes too high? I have not had a chance to run it at the track but when I get on it while cruising the damn just lights the tires up between 1st & 2nd and 2nd & 3rd shifts ( which I love...heheheh).
Since the dyno I have added an MSD ignition box (whatever the number is) and plugs are gapped at .056
Any bit of advice or help would make me feel better.
Unless you guys think it maybe the auto tranny throwing off the numbers, also the tall gears too.
Thanks guys
