i am about to put my heads back on, and i open the gasket kit i bought from ford motorsport. they are felpro gaskets, but they dont have the lock wire that the gaskets im replacing had.
the gt40 heads have a groove for the loc-wire.

car used to have a blower, but not anymore.

so, no big deal to use the regular gasket or do i need the loc-wire?
thanks in advance

if the heads are cut for them, then yes...good idea to stay with them

how strongly do you feel about this?
reason i ask, because the loc wire gaskets cost $75 each. I dont know if i want to spend an extra $150 when i already have two brand new gaskets.

also, i didnt even know they had the grooves until i took them off. im assuming gt40 heads all have the grooves in them?
